Christ speaks: Do your damn job.  Quit trying to be important.  Your very home burns to the ground as you—nozzle in hand—daydream about being the hero.  Your friendships flounder as you casually give day trading a whirl.  Your students cheered your name as you scored the winning bucket in the staff basketball game, yet they despise your apathy in the classroom.  The problem is that you don’t believe in your own goodness.  You subconsciously repeat the mantra, “I’m not good enough, I’m not good enough, I’m not good enough.”  You constantly reach for things that do not belong to you because you are not convinced that your life has meaning as it is.  You are afraid of yourself, you have hijacked your own  vocation, and your life is a damn mess.  It’s not that complicated!  Listen to the inner voice of truth and respond in love.  Fidelity to the friend within breeds peace and authenticity.  Don’t just do your damn job, proclaim your damn job, celebrate your damn job, and become your damn job.  You shall reveal, with me, a habit of being, and our damn job, together, will save the world.  Ave Crux, Spes Unica.
